We wanted somewhere to keep track of all the walks we'd done, and somewhere for our patches to live that wasn't a drawer. So we made this. Each log page has space for the trail name, date, distance and elevation, the terrain and conditions, a star rating, and your highlight (and lowlight!) of the day, with a dotted page opposite for notes, sketches or a quick map of the route.
At the bottom of each log page there's a box that's just the right size for one of our patches or stickers, so you can collect each summit and trail as you go and end up with a proper record of your adventures, blisters and all. Inside the front cover there's room for your name, a contact number in case it goes walkabout, and your emergency contact details.
The cover is printed on Oribi Straw, a tree-free board made from leftover straw from crop farming that would otherwise be burnt, giving it a lovely natural texture. The pages inside are 100% recycled, and the whole thing is printed in the UK.
Pair it with the patches from your favourite summits and trails, and it makes a great gift for any walker.

We love our King Charles III patch as we live very closeby and it features the great Dover Castle. Its a trail we walk and follow about 3 times a week so to wear the patch on our gillets feels special.

I bought two of these patches to give one to a very keen experienced climber who loves Tryfan with its challenging corridor climbs. The second for his climbing colleague with whom he rope climbs.
I would have bought a badge for Torridon in Scotland & the peaks around there, but you do not have one- yet! That for the western highlands is insufficiently specific, but in time, confident that you will recognise & and produce a badge for that fabulous area.
