The Great Herdsman of Etive presides over the head of Glencoe, its pyramidal summit of Stob Dearg rising to 1,022 metres and one of the most photographed silhouettes in Scotland. The walker's route climbs the steep scree of Coire na Tulaich onto a high ridge of four tops, with the empty sweep of Rannoch Moor falling away to the east.

Completed the West Highland Way many years ago as a teenager and a Venture Scout, used it for my expedition for my Queens Scout Award, great to have a patch to sew on my blanket to remember it.
